I have been making books for a while now. I chose the book as a format due to its portability, becoming a companion during travels and a way to capture experiences on the move. These books hold and bind together various elements, creating a cohesive narrative. I find beauty and potential in the blank pages. The empty space invites imagination and interpretation. Apart from being therapeutic, the handmade aspect also makes for a sensory experience with its textures and materials, encouraging intimacy. Bookmaking as a process allows me to weave multiple narratives- oral, written, unspoken, and observational. It presents the experiences that were once lived by someone and possibly exist in the memory. In that case, each page, each image, and each scribble becomes a moment that was captured in time. I seek to create books that deal with current social complexity. In that manner, my books become a means of connecting with others, whether through shared secrets, confusion, symbolic gestures, humor, or complexities. It facilitates communication and interaction which somewhere a common thread between others and me.

A procrastinator’s lament. The artwork explores the experience of putting things off until the last minute. In this, I utilized both visuals and text to depict the emotional rollercoaster of procrastination. It satirizes the act of delaying tasks, showcasing the self-exploitation and regret that often follows. By portraying the visual spectrum of postponing, the artwork aims to make viewers laugh while also reflecting on their own relationship with deadlines.
