This piece explores the interplay between the image on the paper and the one conjured in the viewer’s mind. In this artwork, I utilized double-sided drawings created with carbon paper. This technique allows for two distinct images to exist on the same page, one readily visible and the other hidden beneath. By experimenting with different colored carbon paper, the artwork introduces an element of surprise and dialogue. The interplay of colors adds another layer of meaning to the hidden image. The creative process reflects the artist’s own internal conversations and thought flow. The marks made on the paper become a form of journaling, a visual representation of the artist’s inner world.
